Hello and welcome!
I’m Maliya, a pastry chef in training from Toronto, Canada and this is my blog! I started this food blog a few years ago, knowing I wanted to share my love for all things sweet but didn’t find the right direction to take it in until I started pastry school and discovered that the best way for me to learn and practice was to pretend I was teaching someone else. Prior to my journey in pastry, I attended school for biomedicine and nursing before succumbing to this very sweet world. I now invite you to join me!
From ages 12 to 21 I was self taught in my kitchen at home using the internet as my primary research tool, and while I was able to follow recipes with decent success, I never really understood them or the ingredients I was using. The “how” and “why” of my craft was missing. My goal for this blog is to impart my own knowledge on to others, sharing my passion in a way that is useful and inspiring. I also hope that this blog will be a sharing platform so I may learn from you!
